Tax data changelog

Every change to the salary tax tables, with the source it was checked against and the date.

Sources published beside the numbers; salary pages narrowed

No band, rate or fixed amount changed on either schedule — the tables verified on 2026-10-10 are still what the calculators use. What changed is how the site shows its work and how many pages it claims. The document each schedule was checked against, the limit of that check, and the date it was made now print on the calculator, slab, fiscal-schedule, budget-impact and salary pages themselves, and a new verification page sets out the method step by step, including the fact that the FBR gazette PDFs are scanned images. Guides now carry a named author instead of an unnamed organisation. The salary pages generated from preset amounts were reduced from 471 amounts to a 21-rung ladder from Rs 30,000 to Rs 500,000 a month, so a bookmarked page for an amount outside that ladder now returns not-found rather than a near-identical copy; the calculator on every remaining page still takes any salary you type in. The Urdu guide URLs are no longer offered to search engines, because their bodies are written in English.

Both salary schedules verified against FBR law

The 2026-27 salaried table was corrected to the eight bands enacted by the Finance Act 2026, running from nil up to Rs 600,000 through Rs 1% of the excess, Rs 6,000 + 11%, Rs 116,000 + 20%, Rs 316,000 + 25%, Rs 541,000 + 29%, Rs 976,000 + 32% and Rs 1,424,000 + 35% above Rs 7,000,000. The same Act withdraws the salary surcharge, so no surcharge is added for this year. The 2025-26 table was checked against the Finance Bill 2025 and the 2025-26 Salient Features, and keeps the 9% surcharge on Division I tax above Rs 10,000,000. Source citations are recorded in each schedule file.

2026-27 bands interim revision

The 2026-27 bands were briefly set from provisional figures carried over before the Finance Act 2026 was published. That table overstated the tax on every salary below the top band — for example it charged Rs 120,000 + 25% on income above Rs 1,200,000 where the enacted rate is Rs 6,000 + 11%. It was superseded by the verified schedule on 2026-10-10. Anyone who saved a report from those pages should recalculate it.
