Official FBR due datesThree things to settle before the date
- Which tax year applies and what its deadline covers — for salaried individuals the year runs 1 July to 30 June.
- Whether you are required to file at all: certain income and asset tests make a return obligatory whether or not any tax falls due.
- Any extension FBR has announced, which can move the baseline date on this page.
Questions people ask
What if the date passes?
Late filing affects both the tax owed and your status as a filer, and the charges behind that are set out in the law of the year. This page does not quote a figure, because those amounts can change; confirm them with FBR or an adviser.
Is filing the same as paying?
No. A return has its own submission date and payment can follow separate rules. Check both against the official list this page links to.
Does an extension apply automatically?
An extension exists only where FBR has announced one. Without a notification, the baseline date above is the date that binds.
