What the widget URL accepts

What the widget URL accepts
ParameterWhat it does
salaryThe gross monthly salary the widget opens with, in rupees. A value the number parser rejects — text, or a negative amount — falls back to 80,000 instead of showing an empty frame.
yearThe schedule to tax against: 2025-26 or 2026-27. Any other value falls back to 2026-27, the latest year this site holds a verified table for.

The base path is /embed/salary-tax and it reads no other parameter. The salary stays editable inside the frame; the tax year does not, so the year in the URL is the year the two figures belong to.

How the frame behaves

  • It runs the same salary engine as this site's calculator, so the same amount and the same year produce the same numbers on both pages.
  • It shows estimated annual tax and monthly take-home, with the tax year named in the line above them, so a reader can see which schedule a figure came from.
  • The frame carries no advertising, no analytics and no consent request. It is one input, two results and a backlink.
  • The embed route is kept out of search indexes, so a page of yours that uses it is not competing with a duplicate copy of itself.
  • Its own labels stay in English, including when you embed it from the Urdu site, because there is one widget and it is written in English.

Before you paste it

  • The two results sit side by side, so give the frame room. The snippet lets it fill its container up to 600px and asks for 240px of height.
  • Your stylesheet cannot reach inside an iframe. Width, height and the border are the only styling you control from the outside.
  • The widget is an estimate read from a published schedule, not a filing position. Where your readers need the source documents, point them at the verification page next to the frame.

Questions site owners ask

Do I need a script, an SDK or an account to embed it?

No. The snippet is a single iframe tag pointing at a public URL, so it works anywhere HTML is allowed, including a CMS block that refuses scripts.

Does the widget collect anything from my visitors?

It does not. The amount you type lives inside the frame while it is open and goes nowhere else: nothing is stored, no request is made when the figure changes, and the backlink is a plain link.

What happens when a new budget changes the slabs?

A year is only valid while this site holds a table for it. Until a new schedule is added, the frame keeps taxing against the year you asked for, or the latest one on hand if that year is removed.

Can I remove the backlink to PakTax Tools?

The link is inside the widget, and a parent page cannot restyle an iframe's contents, so the answer in practice is no. Embed it as it is or not at all.
