Zakat calculator
Default value is an estimate; verify the current nisab value.
Zakatable assets
Rs 0
Estimated zakat due
Below the nisab you entered, so nothing is due
How the figure is built
- Gold and silver are valued as weight multiplied by the price per gram you enter, then cash and bank balances are added.
- The liabilities you enter are subtracted from that total, and the result cannot fall below zero.
- What is left is compared with the nisab in the next field. Below it the page reports no zakat; at or above it, the rate you enter (commonly 2.5 percent) is applied to the whole zakatable amount.

What this calculator does not do
- It does not fetch today's gold or silver rate. The price per gram is yours to enter, so the answer is only as current as that figure.
- It does not convert the traditional nisab, which is expressed in weights of gold and silver, into a rupee threshold. That conversion depends on metal prices, so the threshold is a field rather than a claim on this page.
- It does not track a lunar year of holding (haul) or decide when your wealth became zakatable.
- It does not settle questions of scholarly jurisdiction: business inventory, receivables, rental income, gold worn as jewellery and personal debts each have differing rulings.
Questions people ask about this figure
Why are liabilities subtracted before the rate?
Zakat is assessed on net wealth. Money already committed to a debt is generally taken out before the rate is applied. Which debts qualify is a scholarly question, not an arithmetic one.
What does the page show below nisab?
Zero due, plus how far the entered assets sit below the threshold you gave. That keeps the result honest: the answer depends on a figure this site deliberately does not publish.
Is this the same as zakat on salary?
No. This tool values wealth on the day you enter it, not income across a year. Savings, spending and the holding year change that calculation, and the rulings behind it should be asked of a qualified scholar.
